Immediately acknowledge every order you receive with
a 'thank you' letter sent via First-Class mail that solicits more money.
You're a dumb bunny if you don't.
Your customers are never hotter for your goods or services than when they
first order. Be courteous. Immediately acknowledge their purchase and
tell them how appreciative you are. And then, offer them something else so
they'll have the chance to spend even more money with you!
