There is a lot of what is called "medical tourism" in Costa Rica. The doctors are as good... or better... than American doctors. AND, both the doctors and the prescription medicines are so much cheaper... you wouldn't believe it!

For example: I had a cataract operation in Costa Rica and I had to use prescription eye drops for 9-days after the operation. The prescription eye drops cost me $15 in Costa Rica... and... more than $73 here in the United States.

If any of this ever becomes of interest to you, contact CIMA Hospital in San Jose and tell them what kind of doctor you need... and... you want only a doctor who is connected with this hospital.
